Everytime I see David Caruso on TV I just want to wretch!!! I love the rest of the cast that's the only reason I put up with actually watching him on the show!
Wahts your opinions?? I think he is arrogant, egotistical and he sucks as an actor!
And whats up with all "inspirational" endings that always involve him making some strange thoughtful face??

i don't like him myself...but it could just be the script he is given that makes him seem that way...i think the woman, Emily, who plays Calleigh is so FAKE...she is such a bad actress...her acting is so bad that (in my opinion) David doesn't seem that bad compared to her...

I personally cannot stand David Caruso. I really do think that he is a horrible actor. For the person that said that it is not his fault that the Writer's give him crappy things to say, should think about the fact that it is not just the Writers, Directors , Producers, etc., it also has to do with how the actor accepts the role and plays the character, so some of it does come from the actor.
I like CSI Miami, I started watching it this year, but not because of David Caruso. I am partial to Jonathan Togo and Adam Rodriguez.

I AGREE !! Don't know if you remember him on NYPD Blues, but he did get critical acclaim for his acting which lead him to leave the show thinking he had this great acting career ahead of him. Well, he got too big for his britches because he only went on to make 1 or 2 unforgettable movies (may be more that were so unforgettable that no one can remember). Now here he is back again, emotionless, mono-toned, posturing, and mumbling. Also, forgive me, 'cause I'm no beauty myself, but I've never been a big fan of skinny, pale, red-headed men, even the ones who CAN act!

You are correct in your assessment of his arrogance. That same arrogance is what made him leave NYPD Blue after its first season thinking he could parlay that into a film career which absolutely tanked.
He has tried to get them to shift filming of the show, in its entirety, to Miami which did not sit well with the other cast members
That being said, his character is written the way it is to play off of his strength which is his arrogance and why the show is still a ratings leader

I definitely despise CSI Miami. i think of Bruckheimer have been given it incorrect whilst he had to function cities to the already valuable CSI Vegas version. i think of the format worked properly for the regulation & Order shows simply by fact they have been diverse divisions, giving us diverse tale traces with diverse character performs, as in sufferer, murderer, witness etc. simply by fact they cope with diverse variations of crime. He is totally annoying. Melodramatic, and yes, very egotistical. I don't watch CSI Miami, because I can't watch him. CSI NY, and of course the original CSI are great. But, until they get rid of that cheese dip actor, CSI Miami will be unwatchable for me.
