you can only infect a cd by burning the information on there, a dvd or closed cd won't be infected.

most CDs except CD-RW are not rewrittable so no it wont get infected because the virus cant copy itself to it. However if you did burn the viruses on that CD then wherever you put the CD, chances are it would be able to replicate itself with ease. But before you copy any files, make sure you scan the files.

No, DVD . CD are read only so they will not get infected.

If you try ti burn a new DVD that DVD (New) will be infected. Some DVD RAM drive also will be infected.

well that depends on a number of factors
1. do have a cd or dvd writer
2. is the dvd or cd open or closed to being written

if you have a dvd or cd writer en you put in a blank disk there is a possiblity of the virus writing itself. though it is highly unlikely
