Get Doom if you can get it , more protection but less damage , if you can't get doom get the avadon set for your tank . : )

it all depends on what you are trying to achieve? i don't know the armors out there but i know that my warrior has already 2 different sets of armor and i am only a lvl 35 1 if for tanking and the other is for pvp/soloing. my tanking gear is more suited to give me more armor and life my pvp/soloing gear is more toward damage. i know that in my guild out main tank has like 5 sets of gear. 1 is the main for tanking 2 is for backup if stuff starts to break 3 had mainly fire resist, etc etc. so i don't think that there is 1 set of best armor for a tank.

Must be everquest. If so, best armor is the padding that's going to grow on your butt.
