ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is a great place to live! I can be in the Blue Ridge Mountains in one hour, at Myrtle Beach in about 3; the Spoletto Festival is within reach; we have a Shakespeare troupe who puts on free shows in the biggest park in town; the library is huge; we have several art museums, one of which shows almost the entire collection of Andrew Wyeth paintings; we have a Peace Center which shows major programs such as STOMP! or CATS; schools have all been built new in the last 5 years thanks to state funding; there are 2 major universities and several colleges right in town; it's still quiet at night, you can trust your next door neighbor, and I know the mail- lady by name... what more could you ask for in a place to live?
I guess it would help to know where this magical place IS, wouldn't it? LOL I live in Greenville, South Carolina!

Entertainment. I like my town...it's very small, safe, and everybody (well, most everybody) is very friendly and would break their backs to help you. There is all this "natural" stuff to do...fishing, horseback riding, camping, and things like that. However, while those things are fun I had rather go to a concert or art show...we have nothing like that within 200 mi.

that is such a great question!!!! well done!!!! i guess my city is still in a sort of post-war depression, it has many great things (great architecture, lots of parks, 4 big lakes you can actually swim in in the summer, sports, activities, urban spirit, art....) but it's still missing some economic development and a bit more open-mindedness, I guess. i really enjoyed that question, both answering and reading the answers! thanx everyone!!!!
