There aren't very many plants or animals. Poison Oak, Sumac, and Ivy will only give you a rash, not kill you (unless you are VERY allergic).

There are a few sharks that lurk in the water but nothing really to worry about, there are jellyfish, but nothing too potent up here, avoid sea urchins as they have a nasty little sting. As for land animals, really there aren't very many things. The Cape doesn't even have Rabies yet. There are no poisonous snakes or dangerous mammals, it's a pretty safe place as far as wildlife goes.

the biggest problem with Cape Cod is that those those who stay close to sufficient to visit make it way too crowded for those of you that stay there year-round. i love Cape Cod - yet extra so at the same time as the crowds are decrease in off-seasons. Cape Cod on a moist holiday week, notwithstanding, is between the worst places to be.

Yup. sharks and jellyfish.

With that in mind, the jellyfish are mostly just annoying, leaving stings like bees, and the sharks are mostly sandies, which top out at about 24inches and aren't much worse than small dogs as far as their bites are concerned.

I'd be more worried about the (very few) criminals who try to rob tourists. Pickpockets at big attractions, stuff like that.
