Of course!
He is turning 35, so he still has about 3-4 maybe 5 years left in him unless something happens to him injury wise.
At a rate of 30-40 wins per season you can expect him to be close if not more than 600 wins when he retires. Brodeur already has 482 and is 69 away from Patrick Roy at 551.
He has 91 shutouts and closing in fast on Terry Sawchuk who has 103. Patrick Roy only had 66 career shutouts with a career GAA of 2.53. Brodeur's career GAA is 2.20.
I was a big fan of Patty when he was with the Habs, he brought us 2 cups but let's face it, Brodeur is by far the best goalie to play the game.

I don't even think he's the best goaltender of his era, nor do I think it's Patrick Roy.
My pick for the best goaltender in NHL history is Dominik Hasek. When all 3 of those players played at the same time, Hasek won 6 Vezina trophies and 2 Hart trophies. Brodeur & Roy won none.
(Roy won 3 before Hasek became a starter, and Brodeur has won 2 since Roy has retired)
Hasek was the backbone of a mediocre Buffalo Sabres team, and I wonder how well either Brodeur or Roy would have done playing in Upstate New York.
Even now as a 42 year-old, he is among the leaders in save percentage and goals against.

That is really a matter of opinion. Some people have their favorite and will stick by that favorite, even if Brodeur captured every record there would be some that say Roy is the best for example. In my opinion Brodeur is the best, and only thing that could happen is if he goes downhill by staying too long. Although the way he is playing this year I couldn't imagine him staying too long. He is so good at his age, so I think he will know when it is time to hang it up.

Hands down, Brodeur is the best ever. Roy has his records but Brodeur looks to eclipse them. But let's say that Brodeur had never won the cup or will break those records then just look at his performance. His endurance is incredible (amazing if compared to Roy or Hasek) and he has controlled and won games more than any other player I have seen. Roy and Hasek has stolen games (every elite goaltender does at some time) but Brodeur consistently wins the Devils games that they have no right to win. I have never seen puck handling like his (with exception to Turco --but Turco is no Brodeur). Brodeur is the best I have ever seen.

No doubt about it. As Patrick Roy stated it is great to have the record for NHL wins. That is until Martin Brodeur takes it away from me. I see Martin not only having the most wins but most shutouts by the time he retires.

I think he is on the road to that right now. He just got his 91st shut out of his career. The record, held by Terry Sawchuk, is 103. For years hockey experts have said no one would EVER break that record. Martin only needs 12 more to tie. he has 12 shut outs for this year and the season is not over. By next season's end I think he will own that record. He is better than Roy. He is the only goalie in NHL history to have 40 wins in a season 5 times. He reached a lot of his records at a younger age than Roy did.

I believe he is one of the best of all time right now. He is and has been the anchor for the Devils his whole career. I can speak from experience being a Penguin fan. He has won game single handed against the Penguins over the years. Devils rely heavily on him. They really never have any great offensive teams, but boy do they play that left wing lock well. Much easier to do when you are up by a goal or two. You get ahead by Brodeur never letting any pucks slide by him. When he is on, the Devils win. When he is off they lose. Simple as that.

Yes he will be. He is definitely the best right now too. One more Cup should solidify his place atop goalies in history. There are goalies with more cup wins, but most of those guys played on dynasties, as where Marty is the main reason NJ has won their Cups. He will soon be the all time shut out leader. He has even adapted his game to the new NHL-Would Roy have been able to hang in this fast league? Roy is only considered by some to be the best because of his numbers-not his play. Roy has all sorts of bad redcords too-like most playoff loses in history-never had a 40 win season. Roy just played a lot and he was good-not great.

a million-Martin Brodeur - ok hes gotten slightly worse the previous couple of seasons, yet coming back like he did after an harm like his replaced into marvelous. additionally if his crew might easily PLAY infront of him the way they did infront of Clemmer particularly then sitting back on one purpose issues might have resulted in a diverse way. 2-Tim Thomas-ok he has slightly to coach nevertheless yet he has made some marvelous saves over this season, he's the only reason i'm unhappy Boston is out (and that i might have enjoyed to confirm them take out the Canes...) 3-Cam Ward - Hate him. nevertheless comprehend his ability 4-Henrik Lundqvist - seem what he did with an undesirable crew enjoying infront of him. Hate the Rangers, love Lundqvist 5-Roberto luongo - slow start up coming back from his harm yet he's shown hes between the staggering goalies in the league. searching for a Luongo/Brodeur goalie tandem for the Canadian olympics next 12 months
