Shameful. Deceitful.

For those of you blaming the Dem Congress for this, they have been in power for less than two months. These budgets were set during the last six years of total Repube control. Be HONEST folks!

Indeed shameful. Billionaires come first--cut their taxes rather than give wounded veterans the care they need. A true disgrace.

I read an article yesterday about life at Walter Reed hospital for these guys that come back maimed for life. I read how the doctors try to blame the injuries on anything and everything to keep their disability pay as low as possible. I think this is shameful thing. We lavish unaccounted for billions on a war but the very ones giving their all are treated like liabilities and cheated of the pay due them. This country has it's priorities wrong. This commander in chief is inept and incompetent and for someone that has never spent a day in combat, he is very eager for American troops to fight and bleed. I don't know how he sleeps at night. I hope he has a good excuse for all this when he meets the Almighty on Judgement day. Death should be his middle name.

Who are these "conservatives" who aren't caring for injured soldiers? Perhaps you are referring to Walter Reed Medical Hospital, which is a government organization that relies on government funding to operate. This funding must be approved by the United States Congress, which is controlled by Democrats. So, perhaps your question should read: "Why don't Democrats provide for the care of injured soldiers?"
Here's a better question: Why don't you do some research before asking stupid questions?

I'm a Conservative. I have 2 cousins, an uncle and a brother in law that are marines. They've all served in Iraq. I support the cause of this war. So you're going to sit there and tell me I don't support the troops? I don't think so. All my family members in the military are Conservatives, all their friends in the military are Conservatives. They all support the cause of this war as well. Are you still going to sit there and say they don't support the troops because they are Conservatives who support the war? I don't think so. Generalizing because of a few people's actions is immature and naive. That would be like me saying Liberals don't like our troops because of the few that spat on our soldiers. You would think i was immature for saying that, wouldn't you?

First of all, the link is to MSNBC. This is the same news organization that referred to the US military as "mercenaries". Working on that theme one of NBC's military advisers then posted a column in which he stated that the US troops should be grateful to the American people for it's support and that it "wasn't for the soldiers to criticize the American people".

Secondly, you're an idiot. There have been scads of reports on how we have more troops today surviving injuries that in previous years would have killed. That's how good our technology and our medical personnel are! In fact, we are constantly finding ways to help these catastrophically injured soldiers cope and recover.

I am conservative and my family personally volunteers at the VFW, as well as with an organization called TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) which helps those who have lost a loved one in active duty military.

Baseless generalizations are the mark of sloppy thinking.

They give soldiers places to go and fight, as much as possible, wherever possible, however possible.

The economy is strongly linked to military industry running strong.

How's that?
