I found out the some game extras are only available online. That has pursuaded me to hook my system up for online. I have a internet connetion and a modem for my computer. Do I need anything else to hook my system up?

Just an ethernet cable or a wireless router.
For the 360 you will need a subscription.

just hook up an ethernet cable from the back of the x box or ps3 to the back of the modem and your all set

Simple get a wirless router. Its not that expensive.
