ok, so I truthfully have the two. i admire the two the two, yet i'd could say that sugar gliders are much greater staggering. i admire only watching them devour and seeing what they'll do next. i enable me 3 sugar gliders run around my room, one thinks he's a gymnast. he runs on the precise of my workout ball till he cant save up or falls to the section and has to bounce off. the version between the two is that, sugar gliders have a stricter weight loss software, they prefer a great number of protein, end result, and greens. those could be clean, no canned ingredients. you are able to freeze them additionally. there are diverse diets you will get off line. im advantageous you have study this. sugar gliders will urine and poop on you. ferrets are muddle container experienced. the two prefer a great number of workout popular. sugar gliders sleep for the time of the day, so in case you're conserving them on your mattress room, be arranged to positioned on ear plugs, they are going to be extremely noisy haha. you're able to save the two in pairs. they'll develop into depressed in the event that they do no longer look to be stored with a minimum of another if its variety. sugar gliders are conventional to stay longer then ferrets, my oldest ferret is 7, and my sugar gliders are around 4 years old, yet they might stay to be around 12 yrs old provide or take some years sturdy success

I had a sugar glider once. They are a lot of work. They need lots and lots of attention or they will become feral. I didn't have the time to take care of mine, so he was alone a lot. Whenever I took him out of the cage, he would bite me and try to get away. I ended up contacting a sugar glider rescue and they found a new home for him with people who could give him lots of attention. Just keep that in mind before you get one.

Sugar gliders are sneaky - they get you with that cute face and you just cant resist! They are high maintenance pets, and can be quite costly for vet visits and proper diet, not to mention housing. They need a large cage, a minimum of 3' tall and the bigger the better.
I have 5 total, but only one is bonded to me. By this I mean he will come to me and stay on me (in my bra or on my shoulder), likes to have his belly rubbed and stuff like that. The other four are wild children - sweet but not quite tame. So, gliders like my boy Aiden can be misleading - they can take days, months or years to bond if at all. For bonding, they need to be on you in a bonding pouch for hours a day, and need play time with you outside of their cage at night when they wake.
For diet, they have very specific needs. I feed whats called BML, I blend egg, baby food, honey and some vitamin suppliments and freeze it - it is served with a specific list of fruits and veggies. They eat better than I do!
They can live for 15 years in captivity, and once bonded it can depress them severely if they are rehomed.
If you're up to the task, they are very rewarding pets but time and patience is key...

i have 3 gliders. i also breed them. i love them ,they are sweet and very funny. but like any animal you have to give them lots of play time with you. if you going to get some get babies so they will bond to you easier. they need a good staple food like zoo keepers secret. ,plus calcium and fruit 2-3 times a week. read up on them first you will find out alot.and try to buy from a breeder and not a pet store, They are friendler. good luck and if you get them have fun.

They love fruit, especially apples and melons. They tend to bite and pee on you when you play with them. They also squeal like pigs when you try to cut their nails so they don't scratch your eyes out. Their poo gets everywhere on the walls or floors, depending on where you have them set up in your home. They also give off strong pheramones, so there are many days when they give off strong odor. Having two of them might be a good idea, except, don't have two males since they are possessive of their space.

I LOVE my sugar babies but they are very high maintenance. They're not an animal you can have and expect them to be self maintaining/sufficient. They are well worth it if you put the time/effort and money into it.
