Sounds like a phase my son went through......it usually only lasts for a week or so. Is she starting to crawl or cruise? Sometimes these new milestones can affect the sleeping habits for a short while.

My son is basically 12 months previous and has dropped the 2nd nap maximum days. He sleeps 11-12 hours entire at night and takes a a million hour nap. On days he's taking 2 naps he sleeps 9-10 hours at night and takes a 40 5 minute nap and a a million hour nap. each and every infant/infant is diverse, some choose for extra sleep than others. basically enable her sleep whilst she is drained. in case you attempt to make her nap extra in the process the day than she needs think approximately an relatively wakeful little woman at night.

She might not need the nap. If she's sleeping all night, then she is fine. My daughter is trying to completely cut out her morning nap, so be happy your's will even take one, even if it is only 30 minutes.

If she's not napping, then it means she probably doesn't need that nap anymore. Many children stop napping around 9 months old, and it's not healthy to force them to nap simple for the convenience of the parents.

Make sure its quiet and she's comfortable. Is she changed and warm enough? Our baby wakes up and cries when she's not appropriately dressed for the temperature. We use blankets to keep us warm when sleeping but babies kick them off. I make sure our baby has warm enough clothes when it gets cold outside.
Does she know how to calm herself down? It sounds like you're trying to get to that point. Make sure you put her down to sleep and nap before she falls asleep so that she can learn to relax herself. If you don't already, let her cry a little before you give up on letting her fall asleep. Just set the timer for 15 minutes or so, she'll probably calm down.
One thing we do with our baby is just go into her room and stroke her head. I can simply put my hand against her cheek or on her head and she calms down. This helps her fall back asleep.

Just keep doing what you are doing, it might take her a few days longer to get used to going to sleep on her own. It could take up to a week because she is used to some sleep props(rocking, breastfeeding). Good luck and just be consistant.
