Why do most news anchors seem to have the same tone and flow to their voice, is it some method of speech...?

that they all learn in broadcasting school?

Good question. They want to convey confidence and authority. The people that run these stations realize this and only hire people that have these qualities. If you are in smaller markets, when traveling around you will notice the drop in quality not always but usually- do not want to offend anyone.
