I came across this pub on the internet, but I do not how good it is. My friend's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day and her name is Kelly... So I wanted to find out more about the place to see if it is any good to decide if we should go there or not. Please give me your opinions.

I live right behind it, literally. It's more of a neighborhood and regulars-type place, but has a good ambiance (not divey or dirty); it has traditional "Irish bar" decor, but nothing like a real Irish pub. Has all the normal bar requisites like jukebox, Golden Tee. Don't plan on eating there (they have food like burgers and sandwiches, but are not known for it, and most people just drink there). I think he rents a hot dog cart for St. Patrick's Day (which is good if you're drinking a lot!). It gets pretty crowded and is fun all day on St. Pat's. Worth a stop in if you can all handle crowds and just want to drink! Very friendly. No live music.

I live in Grand Rapids, but I've never been there before. Irish pubs around here are usually good, though. I say go for it. The name of the restaurant and circumstances of the event are enough reason to go there, at least for me it would be.

Just go for lunch sometime and check out the place... maybe they'll have lunch specials- and then you can ask your server or bartender what St. Patrick's Day will be like.
