i had a virus so i sent my pc away to be repaired..I got it back it but my dvd player is not there anymore! i can't play my dvd's or cd's on the pc or upload music from my cd's! it will play a cd rom no problem...why is this and can i fix it myself? am i just missing software? will i need to sent it back for repair?...i don't want to have to do that as i had to wait 2 months to get it back last time!!!!!

visit the website of the computer, and in support section, download and re-install dvd/cd drivers...

First off, call the people who made the repair. They may have deleted your software and didn't install again when they made the repair. If that is the case, they should be able to tell you where you can download the proper software. At worst you may have to send it away again. Did you receive any software with your system? If you did, check through that software and see if their is a cd available for reinstallation.

It is their responsibility if they made the mistake though so be sure to call them if you don't have the cd yourself.
