What race is Janet Langhart? She says she's only African-American, but looks like she's mixed.?

I'm black so I know there are light skinned blacks. But her hair is silky and her eyes are either gray or blue. So obviously, there's something mixed in there.

I get so tired of the phrase "African-American" !!!
Is there a problem with saying just plain AMERICAN !!
There is no other race that plays that name game.

you don't have to be mixed to be light skinneded.
