The answer is yet to be seen but it depends on who the candidate is. For instance, Rudy Guilian is a moderate republican who is pro-choice. If things get tight, he may use Bush to campaign to the religious right wing of the republican party his stance on abortion will eliviate support from.
One lesson to be learn is in 2000, when Gore separated himself from Clinton. Clinton at the time wasn't very popular due to all the scandels and the media claimed this was a good strategy but look what hapened, he lost. The lessoned learn here is that even though Bush isn't very popular he has his niche, as long as he is used in that niche he cold useful in a campaign.

What in the hell are you talking about? Seriously. What are you talking about. The White House is not going to have any part in the 2008 elections. I saw an interview with Laura Bush and she said her and George Bush are retiring after his term is up. It's over after his term. End of story.

Hard to say, politician are harder to nail down then a tarp in a wind storm. They will support and seek support from whom ever is the "Flavor of the Day."

We could not have GWB run again for reasons dictated in the constitution. But then you as a dem would not know that.
