Well, in most workplaces, jeans are too casual no matter what you pair them with.
Otherwise, a tie with jeans look tacky together.

I think it is quite acceptable, depending on where you work: If you work at a law firm, then no, if you are a greeter at walmart, then yes. But those are the extremes ... most jobs i think you would be able to wear a tie and jeans together

Yeah if you're Kevin Federline...Otherwise...if you have a business dress code at work this is not acceptable. Buy some khakis or dress slacks to pair with the tie.

I think it really depends on the job. If your a professional like a lawyer, then NO it doesn't look good. But if you job is more casual then I think it looks GREAT. Use your best judgement.

I think that outfit will send a conflicting message, is that relaxed casual or formal dressy? On my opinion, conflicting messages are no good in any situation.
