How long will it take for a female betta to reach it's full length? I've had my female betta from Petsmart for 1.5 months now.

1.5 inches is about typical. Some can get as large as 2 inches.

that's a relative question. long while in comparison with what. men usually have the longer tails, yet female bettas would be bred to have longer tails than different widely used female bettas.

some stay small. I have ones that are about an inch and have been that way forever, and the biggest I have is about 3.5 inches. so she might get bigger, yet, but she might just be a small one.

my sister prefers the smaller ones because the bigger ones get rather beasty looking. my biggest female has a huge hump and is very fat. not in constipated or bloated way, just in a way that she could probably eat the rest of the bettas for dinner if she wanted. lol

1.5" would be the normal ones, but there's another breed, called Giant Plakat, which would grow to 6"-8". They are mainly Plakat, thus, usually have short tail.
Btw, even local, i.e. SE asia's, wild betta are 4"-6".
But they don't flare like the Thai fighters' betta and are like 'Gentle Giant'.
Wishing you an enjoyable experience with your betta.
