"Crazy" is a term applied to humans. Our brains are so complex that it's easy for something to go wrong, creating behavioral problems.

But take dogs and cats, which are also mammals. They have fairly complex brains, structured very similar to human brains. Like humans, if they have brain injuries, neurotransmitter or hormone imbalances, or diseases that affect the brain, or major stress, their brain function can be affected causing behavioral problems. For example, the disease we call Rabies affects the brain, and can make a mammal act "crazy."
