i have a 1997 datsun nissan truck i need to know how an absolute sensor works to see if it can be tested or cleaned is there some one who can help?

i own a repair shop,and i know the sensor your talking about it cant be tested,if its bad it will show a code if you have it scanned,all you can do is replace it,most of these sensors on this vehicle can not be serviced they have to be replaced,if you,ll take it to any auto zone they can scan it for free,but you cant repair these sensors,when they go out,,that's it ,you buy new ones,good luck i hope this help,s.

not really sure I understand your question... but if it is
the check engine light is on....
you can goto auto zone and rent a computer that will read the codes and tell you what is wrong.. hope this helps
