Then go to: www.crucial.com or www.kingston.com and enter the make and model of your computer (or motherboard from Belarc) and they will list compatible RAM modules.

Generally yes, just go to http://www.crucial.com and run their The Crucial System Scanner it will scan your system and tell you how much memory your system will support you will have to install the active x control to get it to work though. It will list the amount of memory you have in your system and how much memory your system can support.
