can anyone tell me for sure if she requires a visa, as i cant get hold of anyone to say yes or no. because she was released with no charges, i think she doesnt, but my partner says she will get refused entry...can anyone help please?

Whether or not she needs a visa is to do with her type of passport not about her arrest.
If she was arrested and no charges were brought then that doesnt matter. It wont affect anything.
If she has one of the new biometric passports then she doesn't need a visa, if she hasnt then she does need a visa.

Unless she is in another country than the US she doesnt need anything to go to Florida. No charges mean exactly that no charges no record she can go where she wishes.If she is coming to Florida from another country that arrest should not be a deterrent to a visit. She will need a visitors visa to come to the US and a passport if she is a citizen of another country.

first of all where is she coming from? If she is a U.S. citizen she does not need a passport anyway. Secondly make sure charges were dropped. Third is it a misdemeanor or felony?Now if not U.S. citizen the INS will make a determination depending on the nature of the arrest. Most importantly is for here not to hide the arrest! Because even if she is denied entry she can always appeal it for review, by another interviewer board. They can never hold honesty against you. especially when God recognizes it!

If others from your country (you don't state where you are from) require a visa, then your daughter will, also. The visa request will trigger a background check. An arrest with no charges shouldn't result in being denied entry.

Phone the US Embassy asap. She will not be permitted under the US Visa Waiver program http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/forms/VCU001.pdf any arrest even without conviction means the person has to apply for a visa.

Some people do risk it and dont declare but there would be nothing worse than being turned back. Its best to be safe.

Simple...... no charges, no record then no visa necessary. The goverment has a hard enough time catching people who do have records much less a kid without one. Just make sure she has a new passport just to be one the safe side. In most cases a visa is not required for a UK national.

Ring the US Embassy in London just to make sure. But she should be fine, its only if she has a caution or something. But make sure she is prepared for some seriious questioning when u get there. They will have it all on their records that she has even been arrested and will try always to trick her. Just tell her to stay calm and be as nice as possible. They can be very sly.

If your daughter holds a current British passport that is valid for the next six months,and she is only going on holiday for up to one month and staying in a regular hotel she will not need a visa.She will fill out the visa waiver form on the plane.

no I dont think she needs a visa as she was released with no charge so I dont think there's any hassle to send ur daughter abroad. As long As she dont repeat that again. LOL

If she lives in US, then no. Florida does not require visas from US citizens. Otherwise yes.
