I Need Help on Halo?

Question

I'm on the "Two Betrayals" level on Halo 1 and I keep getting killed by the Wraith tanks. My mission objective is "Locate and destroy Pulse Generator #3." To do that I need a Banshee but I can't find one. I start looking but the Wraith tanks just keep firing that blue stuff at me. Also the Hunters are a pain in the neck. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do?

It is the X-Box version.

If you're where I think you are, you should be looking out across a field with a LOOOOONG way to go to your banshee (there's two located behind the rocks sitting behind the tanks). You can always try to whittle the numbers down from the plateau, but by this time I had already lost my patience with the level and wanted to move on. Do you recall where you left your Ghost...it's probably still at the bottom of that little barrier, right? If you look in the far left corner, there's a rock sticking up. If you run the Ghost really fast at that spot, you're able to work it up over the ledge. Now...just cruise through the battle to the banshees. You can either go back to the generator or stick around and pound the ground with the Banshee's guns.

right you want to find a banshee to fly up to the pulse generator first kill everything before you find one for the tanks if you use any weapon long enough the tanks will die use the cuvnent weapons not the needle gun and leave your own lead for backup until you need it once you've killed all the ground enemies find the banshee not sure where it is sorry fly to the pad with cuation cause there are those sentinals at the top i hope this helps your game

Hunters have weak spots at the belly and lower back areas (there's an orange ring around their necks but it's not as easy to hit) I usually take a sniper rifle to hit those weak spots. As for the tanks, the best way to destroy them is with the rockets (so if you have any, save 'em for the tanks). A word of warning though, the tanks will try to dodge your rockets so doing it from too far away wont work. I usually get close enough so they wont have a chance of running away from the rocket.

attack the wraith tanks near the plateau.......throw a grenade then enter the tank

get in one of the wraths pressing "y" when close then press "B" to melee then get in and kill the hunters with the wraths
