Why shouldn't Carter be held accountable for his attempts to undermine the stability of the US be seen as an act of a traitor? Look at his comments on Al-Jazerrah and at his anti-american rhetoric. Mind you, he is allowed to have his opinions, but to act against the country in a time of war is treason
For that matter, Why wasn't the NY times prosecuted for publishing troop movements on the web?
Have the Liberals have gone crazy and lost their minds? How much more treasonous can people be. I don't agree with Bush or his policies, but come on folks do we have to give support to the worn enemies of America and the West?

Sorry, it should read; Why have the liberal left-wingers been so afraid of seeing Jimmy Carter as a traitor in a time of war?

Aqua Rose; Sorry, I'm married to a liberal. I hear resonable liberal opinions all day. But my wife is smart enough to realize that even an ex-president has to be responsible for their actions. Lots of left-wingers like will answer a question with a question which has nothing to do with what was asked everytime they feel threatened. What threatens you so much in pointing out the NY times treason? What threatens you about me not agreeing with you ?

It is my belief that he should be held to account, much like Jane Fonda during the Vietnam war. How does one go about charging someone with treason? I agree with you that he is allowed to have his opinions, but where does a judge draw the line between free speech, and treason? Half the problem is that no one is willing to put forth the effort and charge Carter, and Fonda to make them the example.
I believe that if the example was to be set, and someone was executed for treason, I could see the most vocal of the liberals in congress being arrested for treason.
Could you imagine the reality check the mainstream media would have to deal with as a result? They would be besides themselves, totally dumbfounded.
It'll never happen, of course, but it's a nice dream anyway.

The angel Gabriel informed me in Aug. 1973 that Jimmy Carter is the Anti-chist and that he is going to alter his call and divorce his spouse! Obama is going to die first and then the Anti-christ who became into between the previous 7 Presidents will take his place! Rev. 17:10 And there are seven kings: 5 are fallen, and one is, [and] the different isn't yet come; and while he cometh, he could proceed a short area. those 7 kings have been; a million. Gerald Ford 2. Jimmy Carter 3. Ronald Reagan 4. George H. W. Bush 5. bill Clinton 6. George W. Bush.... is spoken of in the present stressful (and one is) because of the fact till Reagan died all 7 have been alive! 7. Barack Obama.......and one is yet back! he will die some days after he will enhance taxes! Obama is likewise in Dan. 11:20 Then shall arise in his sources a raiser of taxes [in] the dignity of the dominion: yet interior of few days he would be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in conflict. Rev. 17:11 And the beast that became into, and is no longer, even he's the 8th, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Among the questions you ask: "Why wasn't the NY times prosecuted for publishing troop movements on the web?"
I respond: You will have to direct that question to the Bush Administration's Department of Justice. Their the ones who would prosecute President Carter.

I'm no fan of Jimmy Carter, but I have to say that so far, nothing he has done even comes close to fitting the definition of the word "traitor" or "treason."
He's just as entitled to his opinions - and the voicing of them - as you are.

Have you lost your mind? Nonsense like this leaves me frightened for the future of America.
Why are the conservative right so afraid of dissenting opinions? I can't believe anyone actually believes this garbage about being a traitor and all that nonsense.
That is not giving support to our enemies that is voicing an opinion.

Oh look, a generalized opinion on the "evil liberals" coming from someone who's probably never even spoken to one for more than five minutes. Why don't you get a sense of equality before you try ignorant personal attacks on people you know little to nothing about? Rather than just shouting TERRORIST or TRAITOR at anyone who disagrees with your selfish reasonings.
As to your question (not that it even deserves an answer), why shouldn't Bush and admin. be tried for unspeakable crimes against humanity? As well as tried for initiating a war with ZERO concrete proof of his claims?
Edit: Sorry but I'm rarely intimidated by dumb animals.

You can't win any war if you don't know who you are fighting against or why. Carter is merely trying to educate you so we can win this fight.
Why is the right-wing lunatic fringe so terrified of facts and knowledge?
