Please compare any of these 8 of these: Japan, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Russia, Spain, South Korea OR any two of these 4 countries: China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan in terms of which is more on the right & which on the left and explain your conclusion.
No two countries have the same tax burden or income inequality, some are more centralised, some have more redistribution, more state involvement in schools/doctors/the disabled, etc - people's vlaues & viewpoints vary, some are more religious, some are more suspicious & laissez-faire, others more caring/assisting, others more independent, some are more multiethnic, others more willing to do things communally. Freedom & prosperity mean different things to lefties & righties. Some think all are best served by a ruling elite, others want empowerment of the working classes. So all in all, which countries would you say better fit which descriptions?

I have left out the US & Nordic states because I think their comparison is obvious.

No country would be left if it was up to the right.

Spain and China are Left...China is slowly allowing some Private Enterprise and Capitalism. However it is a big country and we set very bad examples when the restraints come off. I mean the west built up the working class and created safety nets (the welfare state) to make capitalism look like heaven to the communist. Especially in west Berlin did they try to exemplify the differences. It seems though once the soviets fell they gave up the ghost and showed their true worships of the dollar pure contempt and hatred of all people earning less then themselves 96% of us. Basically said we do not deserve hospital or health care, we are allowed to PAY INSURANCE companies but please do not pester them for money if feared disaster actually strikes. They now feel free education is a privilege taken for granted for to long. They pay less and less of the tax burden handing it to the poor and poorer.. I sure miss that cold war...best of all their was hardly any real fighting. Vietnam and Korea had nothing to do with the Soviets and all fighting was dreamt up and initiated by the CIA....Mary.

What the hell kind of question is this?
Left or right? Of what? Sorry to tell you, but none of these 'labels' apply anymore (they have all been hijacked)...eg. Bush is FAR from conservative OR the 'right'.
All you have to know is this: We are ALL getting scewed by our leaders. If we aren't, our governments just hasn't figured out how to yet. And FREEDOMS? We ARE enslaved.
Man, I wished I lived in YOUR naive little world.
You want to know what's going on? Really? Search: the Federal Reserve, North American Union or the New World Order. It's ALL going global.
Oh, by the way...US citizens aren't even required by law to pay income taxes to the IRS. Seriously, there is NO LAW on the books. Wake up, man.

During 1960s, some people thought Indonesia tended to be left.

But now, Indonesia has become "the most democratic country in Asia if not in the world".

Indonesia has successfully implemented "direct presidential election". In fact, it also implements direct governor election.
