Are the members of the house of reprensentatives trying to get support for Al Gore? Or were they just cheated of their right to vote? I hate that I have to ask this. What exactly are they opposing?

Well the first five minutes of that movie, the screen is black and you're listening to the chaos that was 911 with all the fireman and things like that.
Ummm They weren't trying to get support for Gore, you missed the point. People were asking for an investigation in the senate and what they were trying to point out is that not one senator voted for it.
They weren't really opposing anything, other than the lack of senator's interest in doing an investigation, which after the movie, it did garner more support from senator's, thus, the 911 commission report.
