A couple of months ago I selected and paid for some dining room chairs from MFI. They were due to be delivered two weeks later. The chairs came but without the chair covers that I had chosen. MFI phoned me twice to delay delivery of the covers; first it was 1st week in March, then the last week in March. I agreed because I like the colour of the covers. Then, today they phoned again to say the covers won't be delivered until the last week in APRIL!!! I asked to speak to the manager to complain and see what recourse I had and was told that he would call me back. I'm not holding my breath! Do you think MFI will take the chairs back and refund my money, or since I agreed to the first two delays, am I stuck with them?

The covers came with the chairs; it was an all inclusive price. I didn't realise until MFI called that the covers were detachable velcro!

Did the chairs come with the covers or were they bought separtely?
If they were not part of a set then you have no right to send the chairs back

Go back in person and take a witness. Be polite, put your case forward, see what happens. If no joy, contact their head office and make a complaint. Ring trading standards and consumer direct for more specialist advice.

Go back to the store in person and demand to see the manager tell him you are far from satisfied and intend to take it further unless he gives you satisfaction which you accept
