It is a great book. Many times this is required reading in many school curriculums. You may want to re-post this under Home-.Education->Homework Help as I am sure many have read it as an assignment.

If you're talking about Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, it's a play, not a book, and it's extremely depressing. I read it several times in college and never liked it.

Willy Loman has been described as the quinessential American character. It's one of the best plays written in the 20th Century in the same ranks of those written by Eugene O'Neill and David Mamet. Arthur Miller had other theatrical gems, but I consider Death of a Salesman as his best, simply because of Loman and his relationship to his son, Biff.
