Which at the time was a class 2 misdemenor. I pled not guilty but was unfortunatly unable to prove my innocence. The date of the ticket was March 31st 2005. The conviction date was October 2006. The penalty was a 100 fine and court costs, plus the points on my lisence of course. There are no other points on my lisence and I have no other criminal record. I am currently 20 years old. What jobs will I be barred from once I leave school?

A note to old Gringo. I too am very fond of children, and if I thought for one minute I may have committed this crime I would probably be in therapy over it. I think I am a pretty careful driver.

Most employers only want to know if you were convicted as a felon. If that is the case, a misdemeanor is something different and most times are over looked.

If you are considering a job that requires a driver's license, they would want to look at your record. Depending on the position and how many tickets you received, etc, the company may be flexible with you as an individual and generally will take it one step at a time. They all have their own guidelines on what requirements you need to meet.

There shouldn't be any jobs for you to be barred from. Employers are not looking for misdemenors but fellons could be a problem.

I'd spend more time looking for spell checkers and working on improving my spelling rather than wasting much time worrying about one traffic violation. Please be careful driving. Most of us are rather fond of children and don't want school kids hurt on their way to or from school.
