Everytime a woman went in for her check up, the government decides whether or not she should have it. Would more women have them? Or less? Do you trust the government to make those choices?

Personally, I believe more of them would happen...just think, republicans are against welfare, so if they just killed all of the poor people, they could get rid of it. You guys think they actually care about the health and safety of women and children? LMFAO! As a woman, I can assure you...they DON'T

Can you imagine John Kerry deciding when you have an abortion? I think not. When the government subsidizes abortions, in absolute numbers, more minorities will have abortions, meaning decreased minority population growth....or genocide.

The government can know where I live, how much I make and how well I am educated. Who I am married to and how many children I have. Even that is an uncomfortable level of information. I would much rather keep the government out of my personal life as much as possible. The more access you grant the government the closer you come to a totalitarian state.

There would certainly be less abortion, however there would be greater poverty. More children in the welfare and protective system.

Well seeing as how I trust nothing about the government, no I do not trust them to make that decision.

There would be the same amount of abortions as now, the only difference would be the poor would be having more babies and the wealthy would be paying off the doctor to get the ok for the abortion.

You trust the doctor to make those choices and doctors are in it for the money - nothing more nothing less.
I call what a doctor does - murder in the 1st degree.

Women should learn to keep their legs closed or to use birth control. The first always works and the 2nd 98% of the time.

How many women would choose abortion if the Government agreed to pay them 50,000 to have the baby.

Reproductive rights are a personal decision, governments should be keep out. Remember Nazi Germany. The ultimate choice is the woman's. Giving up any right leads to more and more "Big Brother" intervention in our lives. Once any right is taken or given away, more and more will go. "He who refuses to remember the past are condemned to relive it."

I think that if the Republicans had their way, they would ban abortion, pat themselves on the back, and not do anything else. Instead of offering women help and alternatives they'd just say tough and refuse to help her. So what would happen is that you'd have women going into back alleys.

The government has not made too many good decisions lately so no.. I would never want them making my decisions.

Actually, I think MEN should be kept out of the loop on this one.. until we find a way for them to actually give birth....

I'm sure that women who wanted abortions would still have them, government or no. They would just have them in alleys and many, many women would die from the complications.
