My family HATES gay, lesbians and bisexuals. They are strong believers that if you are one of those, you have something mentally wrong with you. I disagree though, and just recently I have come to the conclusion that I am bisexual. I have made hints and tried to beat around the bush that I think I am, but I can't just come out and say it, because my family will hate me if I tell them that. What should I do? I hate keeping this from everyone!

huckleberry, you know nothing about me, I am a very good teenage girl who never gets into any trouble, and the last thing I want to do is piss off my parents. So think before you speak asshole.

Well extreme hatred like that will often engender an extreme response. So you need to be ready to deal with the possibility that you will be cut off completely from your family if you come out to them as bi or homosexual. Before you come out to them it would be important to have the rest of your life in order. Then pick the one family member that you feel closest to and sit them down and tell them how you feel. You can then either let them tell the rest of the family or tell the rest of the family yourself. It sounds like it won't be easy for you.

I think you just have to sit down and tell them.
I would start out w/ your immediate fam, mom and dad, brothers and sisters, let them know...they will tell everyone else. I don't think it is your "duty" to call a family meeting and have the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc come over...ya know?
I don't think that they will hate you...they will probably be angry and confused at first, but you are still you...

I think if you keep it to yourself it will hurt you more, its hard to live with something that you know is right and normal, you are not mentally challenged because you are Bi your human and humans have the power to decide things and not feel guilty.
If your family love you they will except you for what you are.

Don't discuss your sexuality with your family until you are out on your own and making your own way in the world.

Nicole what you are is a young rebellious girl who is trying to piss off her parents and is acting gay to do it.

Such a potty mouth at such a young age. If you're disrespectful to your elders, you're disrespectful to your parents as well, which is why you are confused concerning who you are.
