The first question is your skin care regimen really working for you as you say? Is it clearing up the acne? A good skin care product will clear it up if you use it twice a day consistently for a few weeks. When you first begin to use a new skin care, your skin will probably react by breaking out and then clear up within 21 days. If not, that's not for you.
As for makeup, get something lightweight. The makeup doesn't clear up the acne, the skin care does. If the skin care is handling the acne, you should not need to cover it up. Makeup should compliment your skin and not look like pancake mix applied.

For skin problems, see a dermatologist.
For makeup, go to the mall or beauty place and have them show you lightweight makeup that won't irritate your skin. You are going to want some eye makeup and possibly blush to go with the cake you cake on. Have them show you what would look good on your face and buy what you think you need. I do this once a year to get a new look.

if that works for you use it... if you want to have something stronger you should ask a dermatologist. As for wearing makeup on 'top' of that - not sure, again it depends on how bad your acne is - if you cover it up it may aggravate it and clog your pours... Best bet is to consult a dermatologist... my friend used Acutane for her acne after years of 'dealing' with it it cleared up her skin in months! but you need to consult the doc and get a prescription.

wear whatever make up you like, lots of people say its bad for acne, but for me it makes no difference.
for the acne, go on to oral antibiotics, and just use really gentle skincare. this works better than anything else ive tried and ive tried ALOT of things
good luck!

The concealer is fine and if you get the right color it will look good.
The foundation is not worth it it looks like chalk and does not cover well.

if you want to keep more acne from coming up, i would use bare minerals.
its all natural, so it won't clog your pores, and its light enough that it doesn't look like you're wearing a mask, but still hides acne.
hope this helps!
