Yes they can be wrong, the best thing is to have a blood test done.

They do say a line, whether dark or lite is a line, so it may be positive.
I've taken with my first 2 children the home tests and they came our wrong. I'm now on my third, and the same thing happened, it came out negitive each time I took it.
The test is looking for hormones, ones that show up when your pregnant, a couple ways it could be a false neg, is you too it too early, and simply you rbody doesn't make that much of the hormones. The best way to get a positive answer after an unsure strip test is to get a blood test at the doctors, it was the only way I ever had a pos test result. (I even took it well after 3 months so that taking it early didn't even work for me)
Good luck, hope you get your answer you want!

They say a LINE is a LINE either dark or light!!! I had a very light light light line and took another and the same and I am now 35weeks! Just make sure you didnt set it down and go look later on because you will get the evaportated line....... Go to the dollar tree or dollar store and pick up a few but honestly a LINE is a LINE! Congrats!!!

I can show u a pic of how mine looked if you are interested just send me an email nataliiee1@yahoo.com

No, There are false negatives but not false positives if you read the test results within the time alotted in the directions. Sometimes, directions will say that if your result is negative, and you look at it 3 hours later, it can have a faint line from sitting there. As long as this line showed within the time range, it's correct. Try a digital test if you just want extra prrof for yourself. These will clearly say "pregnant" or "not pregnant".

if your not producing a hormone that you get when you are pregnant it will come up negative. you need a vertain amount of the hormone strong enough to be noticed. i had 8 home tests 4 urine tests coe out negative i ate a marichino cherry a week later, felt so sickk like i had the flu went to the doctors for a sick note to find out i was pregnant and 2 1/2 months into my pregnant. took a home tests a week after i found out i was pregnant, it still said negative. but i was very poisitve i have a 7 1/2 month old son now

If it was a negative, then yes it could be wrong, if you really are, then you didnt have enough horomone for the test to register it. If it says you are preg, then im sure the test is not wrong! Does ur test show negative or positive??

Well most of the time they are right. To be for sure take another one or make a doctor's appointment. If your periods are normal and you are 5 days late you most likely are pregnant.

Best of luck!!

For the most part they are pretty accurate and you don't generally hear of false positives.(false negatives are fairly common due to people taking them too early ect.) If you doubt it then wait a couple of days and retest.
