A few questions, have you moved it from its usual location? If so it could be in shock as long as it gets enough light and the temperature is the same it should recover
Are the leafs falling off? If so it could be root-rot caused by too much water or old soil which has lost its value, if the leafs fall off easy by just bumping This may be the problem. This sounds a bit silly but it will work....wait for the soil to dry out and water it with a can of clear soda ( not Diet) the carbonation will put oxygen in the soil and it will snap back. Once it seems to be in recovery re pot it with new soil slightly on the acid side. Your local nursery can suggest a good soil.
Jades are not known for pest problems but do have a rather tender root system, So my guess is the problem lies with in the pot or the location.
Good luck and God bless grandma

It could be just plain old age, though I'm not sure jade plants really get old. A disease? Potbound? Another possibility is a buildup of chemicals from fertilizer and the water. If you've never repotted the plant, try repotting it in fresh potting soil. It may be rootbound, which means there's too much roots for the size of pot, and it won't be getting enough nourishment from the amount of fertilizer you usually use.

Insects are another possiblity.

midi is sweet...you want to crop off new boost after a lengthy time period or it turns into too spindly and genuine heavy and could slump over...that jogs my memory..time to crop mine. once you do crop some off...enable the cuttings sit down about per week earlier replanting. because it really is two decades previous you likely also comprehend this, yet a jade plant should not be over watered, they favor extra water than a cactus yet frequently slightly below different residing house flora.

If you have had it for that long, then its not over watered...is it? Try putting a teaspoon of dish detergent in a quart of water and spray the whole plant thoroughly. This will kill any bugs or mites and it will not harm your plant
