regular car wash soap. once the brake dust is baked into the wheel, there is no solution to remove it. you have to rechrome the wheel again. to save your wheels, clean it every week. there is no magic chemical to remove the dust once it is baked to the wheel. STOP WASTING MONEY ON CHEMICALS. P.S. chrome wheels last about 8 set of tires. after that the chrome start to peel off.

If there is no rust, any dish liquid detergent that works well on grease will clean them well.
If there is rust, the chrome is likely damaged beyond repair, but you can try a mixture of cola, the above detergent and a wire brush or steel wool.

I have 20 inch Ice Metals and I use Invisable Glass {Glass Cleaner, found at most stores like WalMart} and for the towel I use a Microfiber towel, found at the local Dollar General...I promise your rims will be shinning!!!!!
