If by "everything" you mean "give people an excuse to blow each others brains out" then yeah, I guess you're right. God is the reason for most of the worlds problems, since everyone chooses to believe something and disagrees with what everyone else believes. This friction causes anger and even hatred.

So yeah, God does do everything. None of it is very nice though.

I disagree. After my third child was born and he died shortly after I learned this:
God dosent create miracles for some and deny others. I dont believe God makes anything happen. I think we live as we do, fate happens as it does. BUT, if you open your eyes, you will find lil graces and lil miracles even through the worst of times. Nothing surpasses the pain of losing a child and you can be miserable with your loss or you can see what you have gained in addition to your loss. We didnt just lose our baby, we gained so many things and that is what helps carry us through.

God doesn't do everything.
He is just a guidance for us do do our thing.
He doesn't literally put food on our table, but he guides us to a good carrier path. If all ends meet, if we are good and all, then food is there on the table. If we keep quiet with no effort and say God will do anything, we will end up as a loser. God guides us. He doesn't o it all.

it would be so easy to dump it on God and say he is the one that does all of it, but it's not true, that's why we have free will and we will be held responsible for what we do.

He didn't make me breakfast this morning.

Heck, I can't even remember the last time he cleaned up my place.

You just can't get good help these days.
