Is it Good OR Bad because im cleaning a friends computer right now and i came across this file called bar888 Need some help and thanks for the support

It is the knwon Virus. update ur Norton antivirus and the Lavasofts antispyware . Scan u r systemin the safe mode . And yes first disable ur sytem and then scan.

Toolbar888 is a malicious spyware program. Toolbar888 installs itself silently on your PC, possibly as part of a wider malware infestation. This program will install an Internet Explorer toolbar, and will deliver enormous numbers of popup adverts. Toolbar888 creates a huge security hole in your PC, and transmits the keywords that you search for to a 3rd party server. Toolbar888 is also known as FreeProdTB.
(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .
(4) Get a good firewall if you do not have one .IF you have mcafee or norton firewall you can ignore this step.

ok, search fix it utilities, it'll bring up a site, click on it, then search in the virus menu , then u'll find it and it tells you how to fix it.

you probably need an antivirus for that..try avg antivirus and avg antispyware.
