The same question could be asked of a Muslim, a Catholic, a Jew, etc.
A person's religious faith should not matter as long as they can separate their religious beliefs from their political beliefs. Their relious beliefs can *guide* their political beliefs, but should not dictate them.
Hope this helps. Cheers.

Of course not. I think we can look at the effect someons religion has on their morals, ideals, etc., but one's religion shouldn't ultimately influence your vote. We need to look at the man, his agenda, etc. The Mormon faith doesn't tell it's members how to vote or take political sides, but tells them to be educated and vote according to what they feel is important. I think this would probably be how Romney is, or has been (as we can see from his record). He's been a huge success at everything he's done, is a great family man, has a vision, and is very intelligent. But, I still need to wait and see. The election is a long way out.

The first 3 answers are good, and I agree with them.
As long as there isn't a try at creating a national religion, any Presidential candidate's beliefs should be a guide as to their behavior, voting habits, and policies - nothing more.

Of course not. What should be of concern is intregrity and character - and he appears to have lots of both.
Unlike Georgie - he is not a drunk or a partying.
Aren't we all ready for this type of person. Someone with intregrity and that is intelligent and can speak a coherent sentence.

Why should it be? I thought we went through this in 1960 with Kennedy? Everyone was worried about him because he was catholic.
