Femenism is a blessing and a curse; a double-edged sword. It is similar to affirmative action, in that sense. When Feminism first came about, it helped women establish certain freedoms for themselves that were unavailable to them previously, i.e. the right to vote. Before suffrage became legal for women, women were repressed and inhibited; their views and opionions unexpressed and invalidated. As the years went by and the world changed (WWII being a big factor in this), they fought for the right to have their ideas and desires be accepted by a male-dominant society. Eventually, this resulted in woman being almost, but not entirely, equal to men. However, this is not necessarily a blessing for women, because in reality, women are created differently from men! They have different needs and desires and require things other than men. Most women have an urge to procreate and a career and children often don't go very well together (it can, but it is very difficult). Women are generally more emotive and emotional than men, which can result in a need to be treated in a certain way or a need to have a specific sort of job which will satisfy certain needs, i.e. caregiving... So, while feminism helps women get good pay, express their opinions... women have to realize that they are different from men, not better or worse, just different, and that they cannot expect to be equal.

i'm no longer positive you actually meant "radical" feminism. besides i imagine the question is extra suitable and fairly understood in case you strike the be conscious radical. So, evaluate it afflicted. enable's replace "universal" do you imagine that universal feminism has absolutely hindered cutting-edge women human beings's progression to equality? extra regularly than not, no. textile equality is up overall. In diffused recommendations, sure. As feminism grew to develop into extra about social themes and a lot less about monetary ones, it began to conflict through from superficiality (or maybe has been co-opted, in an organic and organic way) - its entire stance starts to count on the sexist assumption. it really is, immediately away assigning more suitable cost to at least some thing linked with male or masculine, and reduce cost to what's linked with lady and lady. I advise, i have absolutely considered college elderly self-defined feminists making this assumption automatically - they assume that if adult men have it and females human beings do not, it would favor to be wanted by women human beings, and if women human beings can not do each thing adult men do it really is unjust. Feminism would have develop into about re-valuing the female, so as that distinction is respected and valued, which could convey about consensus that textile equality mattered. as a replace a lot of universal feminism has develop into about lady victimhood, and we are going backwards.

I believe in rights for all. I dont believe man is better than woman, or vice versa. I am thanful for the women who fought for our rights, but Im not a feminist. I think its gone past female empowermant and is more like female superiority BS.

Many feminists use it to justify abortion. That hinders society.
They use it as grounds to work all day and not take care of their own kids. That hinders society. (Not directed towards single parents)

It really depends on what we imply or how we use it if it is educating the girl child and protecting her from predation and abuse and providing healthcare for her i support it.If it means disrespecting every man coz of his gender or giving ladies jobs coz of sex instead of merit disrespecting and neglecting husband and kids add the phrase we dont need men and i think thats alot of rubbish a woman has her place in society and so does a man were meant to complement each other

I dont know. i've been checked recently for letting a woman use her right to stand when there is only one seat available, and for letting a woman open the door for me. I mean, I thought they wanted equal rights!
