If you happen to hit it right so that you let some air in it. A spoon at the edge of the lid is way easier and if it's a glass jar you won't have a "WHOOPS!!"

yes it does but not the jar just the jim of the lid on the jar.This breaks the suction in the jar which allows the lid to turn.

Just make sure you only bang the lid, not the actual jar...

Not really, it just dents the edges. I slip the tip of a butter knife under the edge of the lid, this releases the vacuum.

Yes it does--when you bang it, it release the air and pops the lid free.. very sensual when done right

No but tapping the lid with a end of a knife , lightly it works
