why should we stop worshipping cricket??? we should be proud of having one of the best cricket teams, and what's wrong with being crazy abt it? what new talent r u talking abt? everything has its place..a new talent should make room..if its good enough then it'll grab attention no matter what..

If any other sports team shows thier talent THAN cricketers we will turn to thier side to encourage them. its not worshipping. For eg, nowadays Sania getting the same attention as criketers bcoz she's achieving. When Rathore won medal also we proud about him. Like the same when our team failing sometimes we are critizising them like anything. That means we are not blindly suppoting. We want our NATION to be first in any one form. Either its cricket or tennis...
I think if our Hockey team work hard and hard they will overcome our cricketers. (But they're not performing and just blaming the audience that we r giving preference to cricket)
So my friend DONT WORRY!! Its all matter our PATRIATISM. Be proud of that. OK??

This is a really pressing issue going on in India-worshipping of cricket. Even after that they lose many matches. Other sports are neglected to a great extent. Young talent are not allowed to blossom. You have asked a question which we are suppposed to ask all the Indian fanatics!

I fully agree with you that talented youngsters should be groomed up by giving them ample opportunities to built up sufficient bench
strength, so that the aged players are due to retire, we will have suitable replacement for them. What is mainly required is to spot the young talented players available in the country, give them proper training and induct them in the domestic tournament
to start with and slowly induct them to the national team one by one. Even if they fail to perform well, if they have talent, they should be persisted with instead of dropping after one or two matches. A player should be discarded only if he fails to perform even after giving many opportunities.
