How does it compare with the Venice Carnivale?

this is really full of crap. I live in Nice and I can tell you this is amazingly ridiculous and expensive. Come another time in the year to enjoy the area.

You can't compare them, the Venice carnivale is ... a carnivale the Nice carnivale is just a ridiculously expensive joke. Nice is a nice city though, if you can, go there when there's no carnivale
