She wants to be elected obviously. If 80% of America favored a draft so would she. If 80% of America was behind this war, she would be up there saying I was behind it all along.

The same reason McCain switched his stance on Rumsfeld and Guliani is suddenly anti-abortion. This is the problem with both sides when running for President. Everyone says what they think will get them elected. McCain had been standing up for his principles really well, until he started to drop in the polls. Guliani and Hillary were flip floppers from day one. Edwards has not switched stances on aything, but has had one scandal after another since enetring the race. I'm sick of all of them. I'm voting for Obama.(Until he does something that pisses me off too.)

Politics. She needs the support of the far left anti-war base. She realizes there are many other candidates that have more support from the base, and she needs to try and get some of them back.

Same reason you see some Republicans "modifying" their position on Iraq. It's all about politics.

because she realizes that even if she walked on her head, republicans will still hate her so she is going back her her socialist base. Cut and Run. I'm enjoying this term Redeployment strategy. LOL....any idiot can figure that one out.

Because she says whatever the pollsters tell her to say, and whatever she thinks will get her more votes. She has no real convictions other than wanting more power, in my opinion.
