Ebay is good but check Ebay auctions to see what people are getting for those types of coins before you do you own auctions). The coins may be old but might not be as rare as you think.

Look in your local phone book for coin dealers and check them out. If you do go to any coin dealer, do not appear overly anxious to sell. That is when you can be taken advantage of.

Good luck.

First of all, I would take them around to some of the antique dealers in your area for an estimate on what they are worth, and decide where the best place would be that you can sell them.

E-Bay is a good place for those kinds of things, but a lot of the time, you can be ripped off there, so in all fairness, I would suggest an antiques dealer, who more about those kinds of things and will offer you a fairer price.

First go to a local coin shop and have them tell you what they are worth. Then see what you can find on ebay that is like them as far as price. I have bought many rare coins off ebay. It is up to you to place YOUR idea of worth(to you) of the coins

Your best bet is to take them to a couple of dealers and have them appraised. That way you have several opinions and know what they are worth. Then if you think you would be better off on ebay, you have an idea what to ask for.

They're rare when you compare them to the amount of dated 20p coins there are. I personally don't see why people are paying thousands of pounds for them though.
