When you become pregnant during a cycle, you would miss a period and implantation bleeding would occur. Implantation bleeding usually occurs a bit earlier than expected, and it is scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period, and does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light). If this sounds like what you are experiencing, your best bet is to wait at least 2 weeks after a missed period, and see your doctor for a blood pregnancy test as this is the most accurate way of testing.

You need to go to the doc as soon as you think you are pregnant. You need prental care as well as checking to be sure the baby is ok etc. Do not try to second guess how far along you are. What happens if you start to miscarry or deliver early and the doc never knew you were pregnant? What if there is a problem with this pregnancy that could have been prevented if you had seen a doc earlier? Please see your doc for the health of your baby if not for any other reason. The baby deserves better medcial care.

It's unusual, but yes, it can happen. Like you, most women who have it only experience it for the first month or two, and then only very lightly. You can also have implantation bleeding, which takes place about a week after intercourse, and shows that the little embryo has stuck itself on to the walls of your uterus.

If you have any spotting later in your pregnancy, you should be checked out by a doctor... while it's usually nothing, it can be an indicator of complications like placenta previa.
