is enough. I'm talking about some famiy relatives...like they would betray and lie to you and then realize and come back for forgiveness but where do you finally draw the line and say that's the end of the line for you.

I would say in asking this question you have already came to the point that you've had enough. There is nothing wrong with distancing yourself from family. But, you must keep in mind could you live with the guilt if you did, and something bad happened to them? My mom's best friend got in a HUGE fight with her son and later that night he overdosed and died! She was never able to tell him tell him that she was sorry about the fight. Now it is eating her up inside. I know this is an extreme case but, eventually some tomorrow will be the last day of your family members life...as we don't live forever. You have to decide if you will have no guilt if this happens. Sometimes we have family that we seem are born to hate, but in the end we don't know what we got until it's gone.

It's not a question of how many times, it's more a question of what they have done and why you feel you need to forgive and forget.

If in your heart you still feel that you love them, then you'll forgive them. If you have lost that feeling, it's time to let it go and move on. Theres is no right or wrong answer to this one and YOU have to go with what feel the right thing for YOU and not worry about the other person. May sound harsh, but it's your life!

You should never stop forgiving. However, the real question is when should you start wondering if they really are sorry or are just trying to regain everyone's good favor. Still, you should never shun someone, unless you thought that they were becoming a bad influence to you or, sometimes, if you feel that your - hopefully, good - influence is not affecting them.

That's tough to say. It's hard to turn away from someone when you care about them, but I guess you have to institute tough love when the person's actions are placing you or someone else in line for harm. I love my family, but I'm not going to lose everything I have for them. I will help them if they want to get their stuff together, but if a family member continously did me wrong, I'd have to just say I love you, but I'm done with you until you get yourself some help.

I draw the line, the second time, shame on me if I let it go on, it was rough, but the end justified the mean intent of so called family love

I keep forgiving others BUT........
I deem it necessary to sit down with the other party and discuss what the problem is. I am a problem solver, makes life much easier and peaceful
