They have every right to. Its just that it doesn't make sense. Why make your children suffer like you. There children grow up and are poor and in turn have poor children. Where is their common sense?

Maybe since they had no money for food, they spent their time having sex so as not to suffer the pangs of hunger.

May I say, you are not really a very nice person if these questions are an indication.

Financially speaking, I grew up very poor but there was love and that makes the difference. Yes, I did graduate college because I worked hard to get there. I believe my heritage gave me a prespective on life that I may not have had under different circumstances. And yes, I have children of my own and do not believe that they have suffered, nor do I believe that I suffered. I was fed and clothed. Nobody gave me a car or expensive clothes, etc. but the essentials were met.
Yet, I understand what you are saying because rearing children is expensive but I also think that what they are taught overrides being able to hand them everything that money can buy.
I would like to add that neither my parents, nor I, have ever accepted any form of government assistance. People can find a job and work even if it is a low paying, menial type job.
I am not in favor of much of the government assistance programs and feel that they should be more closely monitored.

Anyone who says there is a lack of health care, that's bullshit. anyone can get free birth controll from the health department anytime they want. I worked in a grocery store for 3 years and let me tell you something, people that have food stamps are abusing tax payers. I have seen some of the best dressed, unemployed mother's of 5 driving a HUMMER, not kidding, A HUMMER, spend $300 on chips and cake and chicken and all sorts of **** with their EBT card. They can afford Dooney and Burke and Coach and Rolex and Baby Phat, and HUMMERS!!! because they get section 8 to pay the rent, 3 different fathers to pay child support, (and these are the people that actually get it, do you think they'd let sum1 get away with not giving them free money???) thats how they go shopping, and they use food stamps to pay for their food. Then their children wear Salvation Army clothes. I've seen it, evey day, for 3 years. So anyone that thinks I'm wrong, I'd like to hear why. I have no problem with WIC however. They take more time to make sure people REALLY need it and then they can only buy what they need for the baby. Food stamps used to be the same way, way back when, they were limited as to what they could buy, no JUNK FOOD, no subs, no $50 birthday cakes, just things that people need to survive.

A mistake is one of the most popular reasons. Condom breaks or others, and they can't afford morning after pills or abortions or anything else. Another one that is more common that you might think is pressure. Pressure from friends, family, coworkers, you name it. "So, when are you gonna start a family?" Another one is education. Believe it or not, there are still lots of people who think that there is only one part of the month where a woman can get pregnant. They do it constantly w/ a condom and out pops a little one. Last but not least, age. A couple that wants children but still doesn't have the financial means won't care because they are getting older and that time frame is closing fast. There are a lot more reasons out there that we don't know but they do. Everyone of the people you say that can't feed themselves and have children has a story. :)

I think that because some of them are so poor and cannot afford birth control, also maybe they are so stupid from lack of education that they believe that having children is not that big a responsibility. I think they are so poor that they have no clue, no education and no social awareness. They probably believe they will get more money from having children from the government.

OK, I agree with you 100%. If you have no job, or a low paying job, why would you be so selfish to bring a child into your pverty. If you can barely make ends meet prior to having kids, what do you think is gonna happen when you have to buy food, clothes, and diapers for a baby? DUH!

Welfare is for people who really need it to get back on their fett....NOT for people who are baby making machines.

I am not saying that poor people are not good parents. However, I do think there is more to being a good parent than just loving your kid. You have to be able to provide for them as well.

OK< I am stepping off my soap box now! Have a wonderful Day!!

Many do it because from lack of responsibility. They get pregnant by accident and then are pressured by society, religion and family to keep a child they can't support. Or they can't afford to have an abortion. Other big issues are inadequate sex education and older men preying on younger women, particularly women who grow up without fathers. Then the cycle just repeats itself.

All of these remarks are "poor-bashing".
Many good and notable individuals have been poor people, or have had poor parents.
You might be poor yourself someday, with some precious children of your own. Circumstances can change.

Because some heterosexuals are horny dirty animals who cant control themselves, while the majority of them understand a child needs a loving family and go out of their way to provide one. Its the ones who screw like rabbits that shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Because they, like you, have the mistaken impression that they have the right to. If you can't feed children, you have no business having them, as they then become the burden of the rest of us. Thumbs-down this answer all you want. I'm right.

They could have had kids before they got poor or they don't have money for birth control methods but I understand what you mean you would think they would give them away to foster care but I don't think giving a child up is that easy for a parent.
