The west never agreed to stop in the past. Iran has. Countries have the right to trade goods with whatever country they want. If a country is mining uranium and another country doesn't like it. They can choose not to trade with them anymore. So Iran agreed not to so countries would trade with them. Now they renegged, and this is the reaction.

when in philsophy have things become fair, what sort of logic is it that things in a universe which remains in an organized chaos should have fair. Fair is an obsticle within the mind of the confused. If we wanted to talk about fair- wouldn't it be fair for the Iranian government to share their oil wealth with their citizens. but they don't. Since when can we start treating those people fairly whom can't keep their word nor their promises.

No. Because of the standards the west has in sheilding the potential use of the weapons as a last resort to totally annihilate an enemy, whereas Iran is seen as a partial rogue nation, bent on the destruction of Israel, and no doubt would not think twice to use nukes to do so.

Iran can get their uranium enriched by Russia, their Allies. They need to take then up on the offer. Iran cannot and will not be trusted.

Maybe on a philosophical level it seems fair but it's completely impractical and nothing the west would consider.

What's good for the goose..

I think the country that has showed a willingness to use nuclear weapons should be top of the list to cease enrichment for weapons purposes.

NOT... The major nuclear powers have never threatened to wipe a country, race, and religion of the face of the earth. If Iran had operational deliverable weapons they would immediately USE them against Israel, and US.

It is fair... just as it is fair for us to ask them to stop. Problem is, they cannot be trusted any more than we can. So there is the rub!
