I had my membranes stripped 24 hours ago (on my due date), followed by mild cramping during the day and bloody show last night. And yet, I still haven't felt any contractions. Is there still hope for me that contractions might start on their own?

I lose my plug and was stripped I think three times in 10 days. I ended up being two weeks overdue and had to be induced, that didn't work so I had an emergency C-section. It's an exciting time, and you're very anxious to see baby. But it will happen when it happens.

It took me 3 days to start contracting after my membranes were stripped. If this is your first baby it can take a while. My suggestion, do squats, wash the bathroom walls, and eat a spicy burrito. Worked for me.

You may be having mild contractions. I was in labor and had the bloody show and did not feel a thing. I did not take any meds either. So you may be in active labor. I was like that for a week b4 my water broke. Good Luck

whatever you do do not try castor oil i tried that last night i'm also over due and not getting contractions, everything else is going on but the contractions, i've tried everything but sex and none of it has worked for me, i'll get real bad contractions when i walk for awhile but by the time i get home and relax they go away. I wish you good luck, I've decided I'll just wait to be induced on Monday.

I had my membranes stripped with my last child. My Dr. did this on a Fri. morning and I had her on Sun. morning. Just be patient.It will happen. Good luck and CONGRATS.

i lost my muco plaug a week before labour and membranes stripped 3 times b4 i went into labour

HI.. Well mine did the same thing i lost it on my due date Dec 19 2006 and i didnt feel anything then i had to go in and they enduced me and i had my baby on Jan 1 2007
Talk to your doctor and if you are sick of it tell them you want to be enduced they cant turn you down

Yes of course their is. Once your water breaks things will most likely progress.
Walking and nipple stimulation will help a lot. Its not power walking we're talking about, just being upright and moving. You dont need to exhaust yourself, just walk.

yea it an take between 24 and 48 hrs so hopefully any time now
