Speaking as a former Fetus as all the rest of the people answering this question, I thank my mother for valuing my life more than hers. By the way, even the child concieved by rape had no choice when they were formed. Why should you end their life because of something that they had no control over. Punish the offender not one of the victims. Oh yeah, the idiot that called us all idiotic communists because we believe the conception is a child has no idea what life is all about anyway. Sorry for his ignorance. He/Her needs to go on a reality show and get whipped fo the transgressions they spew out of their mouth

- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - - “I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. That’s not pro-life. That’s Pro-Birth.” – Sister Joan Chittister - - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - -- - - "So, the right of the unborn child to life is not as important as the right of the mother to kill him?" Absolutely... Since 50% of all pregnancies spontaneously abort, pregnancy is a dangerous disease state, a "Fetus" isn't an independent organism until it can survive independently of the host, and the potential quality of life of the "Child", should the pregnancy be carried to term, is FAR more important than the view that all pregnancies be forced to be carried to term... Why is it that Anti-Choicers don't give a flying fu*k about the "Baby" after it's been expelled from the mother's vagia? Have it raised by a coke whore, raped by a priest, sold into child marriage at 8 by an Imam, or just traded around the family to be beaten and fu*ked... You people don't care a wit about what happens to the "Child" after it leaves the womb and that makes your whole stance invalid.

Until you can bare children, you have no say in the matter. It's not just about the health of a mother. There are so many factors out there as to why women get abortions. This is not only one of the most difficult decisions a woman can face, but she has to deal with people like you. She doesn't make this decision lightly. She may just be a very young girl with no money, not much education and her guy probably ran out on her when he found out, thus not being able to raise a child.
Yes, you will mention adoption. That is another very difficult decision, while it is also a good one, she is forced to carry a child for 9 months all the while bonding with the child and having to give birth to it only to be taken away. Causing more emotional stress and damage. I wonder how many girls end up not chosing the option because they just can't do it and the child ends up not properly cared for.
Oh, and this is not your decision to make. You DO NOT own my body.

To say the very least, you are a simplistic thinker. Having an abortion is NOT a religious ritual! Also, they're referred to as fetuses, because that's the scientific term for an unborn child. If you don't like that word, take it up with the scientific community. I don't believe that abortion should be used as a means of birth control. That being said, though, illegalizing abortion would do nothing to solve the abortion issue. If anything, women would be forced to seek illicit, unsafe abortions if they were illegalized. Many years ago, I was undecided on the abortion issue. That changed when I saw a documentary in which an Ethiopian woman died in a hospital after having her uterus punctured in an illegal abortion procedure. I'm pro-choice, because even if we can't save all of the fetuses out there, we can at least ensure that the women who are carrying them stay alive and healthy.

Personally, I don't think any man should have a say on this issue! I watched a very dear friend of mine go through the single worst experience of her life when the doctors told her that if she carried her baby to term, it would kill her AND the baby. With the help of her mother, sister, and myself, she decided to terminate the pregnancy. There was NOTHING "convenient" about it! Her husband wanted to risk it, because the baby was a boy. He actually confessed that to my husband! If it was a girl, get rid of it. What a pig! I am NOT a liberal, but I absolutely support abortion under extreme circumstances.

Until you gain the ability (you are a man) to be able to conceive and carry a baby, you have no right to even voice an opinion on this personal decision. I am about as conservative as you can get and I support a woman's right to decide what she will or wont allow to happen to her body.
Do I think abortion should be used as birth control by the ignorant ? No I don't,but that is not up to any man.It is up to the woman that will carry the baby for the 9 months.
Men stop making women pregnant with children you don't want or intend to take care of.And women use your brains, stop allowing this to repeat its self time and time again.
Take personal responsibility for your own actions.I'm sick of people that blame every one but their selves for whats happening in their lives.

Mark your calendar. the moderate is dropping the conservatives hard on this case. Ever think what it might be like to live in shame from being raped, knowing you're carrying the child of human filth inside of you? While life IS important, denying a girl the right to an abortion may cause her to take her own life, as well as her child's. Two wrongs do not make a right. Being men, we cannot comprehend what it is like to be a woman, therefore, we have a lesser say in the issue. Abortions, also, are never meant to be used as birth control, and any doctor can go on and on and on about how it messes with the body's functions, but, it is still her choice to make, and as citizens, we need to keep our laws off of people's bodies.
Oppose abortion? Set an example and don't have one. Offer to adopt a child, but, never, EVER hinder another person in the exercising of their rights. I find abortion reprehensible, but, I also see when an abortion may be necessary, and support the right of women everywhere to be able to obtain one.

Do you really want an answer to your question, or are you just posting a rant with a question mark at the end?
To answer your question: Yes, people really do believe that -- quite a lot of people. And many people think the opposite.
And, boy, where in the world are you coming up with these weird stuff about pro-choice people believing in some pagan religion? Does that make you feel better about yourself by demonizing anyone who doesn't agree with you?
Criticize the message, not the person.

The child isn't alive until the 7th month at the earliest. Ask a doctor they will tell you the baby can't survive outside the womb before the 7th month, thus you can't kill something that can't survive anyways. Besides i think abortion is wrong but I support a womans right to choose.

You are really wanting a rise today do you?
Agreed, abortion is basically murdering your unborn child. But how can we get that point across? Some people don't even believe that there is a God. So what is the big deal of taking the life of something you don't believe was a miracle in the first place?
