I suggest acetone nail polish remover to remove the ink from her hair, and then wash her in baking soda & water mixture to remove the scent.
Another way to go is to use Mary Kay oil-free makeup remover to remove the ink but that is rather pricy.
Or, take her to a groomer (look under dog groomer) and see what they say--as it maybe cheaper, easier and more effective to go to a professional.

Unfortunately, your little friend is not going to like whatever you do... you can actually re-arrange their temperament by trauma. I would just leave it alone (as long as the ink isn't harming the skin below) and let the shedding look after the damage. If it lets you brush it gently, that will speed up the replacement of the hair. It will be a conversation piece for sometime but the cat will thank you to not mess with it's "head".

Regular canned hairspray works to get ink out of carpet and clothing so would probably work for this too. I would probably try spraying it on in small amounts and rubbing at the ink with a throwaway cloth. Just dont get it near the cats head and work in a well ventilated area.I would give the cat a bath after doing a small area and not try to get it all done at once. Realise you wont get all the ink out and it will take time to shed out.

Saturate a cloth with WD 40 and rub the kitty down with it gently. Then bath the kitty as usual. The WD 40 works on grease and oil and should work on ink. Worth a try. Good Luck.

You can try bathing her with milk. Milk takes ink off the skin if you rub it. Being milk, she won't fight you as much, maybe. Or call the vet and ask for advice over the phone.

when my dog ate a pen cause she was mad at me. i used soap and water. i had to be extremely careful since it was all around her mouth. but i think in your case take the cat to a groomers and let them deal with it especially if your kitty doesnt like her bath. most groomers are equipped to deal with it better than you are and kitty will come back whiter than ever.

White Spirit or Methylated Spirit will take it off , but not sure if you can use this on your kitty , have you tried just using normal baby wipes , a lot safer , it will take time . other than that call the vet and ask them what would they suggest

OH, no! poor kitty. You may have to consider shaving your cat, or at least trimming the surface hair!
